Powerful message about a Mother’s love – Life changing blog by Sherry!

Thank-you Jas Brar, Founder of, my good friend from London for encouraging me to write this article today.

Today I am dedicating this blog to my mother on her 66th birthday and to all the mothers on this earth who love their kids and to all the kids who love their mothers.

“Mothers are special. Mothers are God on earth.”

Before I tell you anything, it is imperative to understand that values given by our parents in bringing up play a major role in our life. If your values exist, your conscience will never permit you to do wrong, even if you choose a wrong path.Values will ignite your self-realization and help you change the mind instantly.

Mamma, thank-you for teaching me the right values to lead a good life, the manners to forgive and ignore the mistakes of people around and focus on the task to lead a beautiful life.

Let me share a painful story but with a wonderful comeback:

This Story is about a 14-year-old boy and his mother.

During his childhood, he was a naughty child but very close to his mother.

About the mother, she has been very bold throughout in all her endeavors of life.

When the son was studying in the 4th standard, during his two months school summer vacations her mother guided him to learn something new instead of wasting all his time in playing or visiting the relatives place for stay.

His mother was strict and religious and she prompts him to learn Punjabi language (Gurumukhi) – read, write, and speak.

In the beginning, he was apprehensive but the mother helped her son to create the interest.

This boy cleared the 2 months exam course with 92% at a Sikh temple (gurdwara) nearby his home under a qualified faculty and learned a new regional language.

(He realized the importance of learning a new language when he grew up.)

Her mother had been an instant support for him whether it was his love for buying a toy, getting his favorite wardrobe, or anything the son demands aside to basic etiquette of life.

The mother is a firm believer in God and made her son learn the daily rituals of Sikh religion (Nitnem) regularly so that it will retain in his sub-conscious.

She taught him that God is above every human being and acted as an influencer to consecrate in having the soul realization and letting him aware that faith is an omnipotent quality in this world.

During his teenage days, he faced one of the difficult phases of his life when he got alone as his parents were separated.

Since his father could not leave the habit of being alcoholic as he was unable to repay loans on time which got him in depression and this boy too had paid the price, as he got expelled from his school in class 11th due to non-payment of school fee.

Clueless, as nothing was happening right at that moment for the boy. It was bizarre.

The 14-year-old child got a big responsibility on his shoulders to support his mother by doing a private job.

Though they both were spirited, it was difficult to manage daily expense.

They were shelterless as they could not even afford a rented home as the mother was not earning and father was blurred to the reality of life.

The boy stayed in the custody of relatives for a few years fighting a difficult childhood.

The mother used to meet her son periodically at a Sikh temple (gurudwara) based at Delhi and serve him hand-made food with affection or sometimes Sikh temple kitchen food.(langar)

The son notices the tears in her mother’s eyes and affection for him and she used to smile in front of everyone covering all her tears to cry alone and saying to everyone my good days will come, God will do everything fine.

I am writing this with tearful eyes, sorry for my emotions. Everyone carries this tenderness for a mother. Right ! (:

For the mother, the dark phase was for her life and family both, but she used to convince her son that their days of joy and relax will come soon and they all will reunite as one family. God is taking the appraisal and everything will be alright in a short time.

The boy used to get angry and cursing his luck, as this convent school drop out has never thought about these critical circumstances at such an early stage of his life, and when it is the time for kids to play, study, enjoy teenage,he was struggling to get the proper education, food, home, pocket money and what not.

What else 14 years innocent kid can do? Suddenly, Life is hard and it feels like to die.

Life has his own dynamics. It will test you and slaps you harder on your face when you are already going through your adversities.

His mother always had the faith in almighty for a turnaround and she never made her son feel low.

She pays gratitude to God and never takes credit for her determination and power of hope.

Eventually, the mother won and they all have started living gracefully together as a family now.

You must be thinking, what happened to the 14-year-old boy?

Don’t worry, the kid is still a child at heart with the strength of a superman!

His name is Sherry and you are reading his blog.

“It’s not what you are that holds you back, it’s what you think you are not.” – Denis Waitley

These mothers are so cute and lovable.

Her words are still audible in my ears,

“Son, after every night there is a definite beautiful morning, Trust God, we shall not give up so easily.”

In Hindi:

“Beta,Har Raat ke baad  savera zarur hota hai ,bhagwan pe bharosa rakh, dolna nahi chaiye hume itni jaldi.”

Whatever I will do will always remain less for you mummy.

What gift can I give you today mummy?  Nothing. I am nothing in front of you Nothing, just nothing.

All I have forever with me is love, compassion, and sentiments as taught by you.

A few lines from a Bollywood song which I like the most:

“Main Kabhi Batlata Nahin,
Par Andhere Se Darta Hoon Main Maa.
Yun To Main, Dikhlata Nahin,
Teri Parwaah Karta Hoon Main Maa.
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata, Hain Na Maa,
Tujhe Sab Hain Pata,Meri Maa.”

You are always and will be my inspiration mummy.

You are my true friend, best mother, and a blessed soul.

Indebted for everything.

May you live long.

Thanks for reading 🙂

      Gratitude rays,

  • A heart touching article sherry god bless you it’s true that mothers are very close to their children they are the only one who know everything about their children. M going through this phase as mom is on bed & I can’t stay with her for so many days & my brother & sister in law is not ready to sleep with my mother to take care of her. It’s been nice saying that one mother can take care of 4 children but that 4 children can’t take care of 1 mother so pathetic.
